Greenwood Archers Club Profile

Greenwood Archers has been going since 1953, with only twice in that time going into temporary recess. We have proudly held the New Zealand Outdoor Nationals here in 1967 and 1987 and the Indoor Nationals in 1980.

Currently we have 30 members in our club, and back in the 1980's we had a membership of over 100.

Greenwood Archers has some of the most experienced coaches in New Zealand working to encourage, teach and promote our archers, catering from 7 years old to 18 years in the Junior Sections and Seniors integrated from 18 years upwards.

Facilties we have at our disposal are both indor and outdoor ranges, accommodating up to 18m indoors and a full international FITA can be shot on the 10 targets on the outdoor range - thats up to 90m, in a beautiful, serene setting.


BEGINNERS COURSES:
Courses for juniors (under 17) are run on Sunday mornings, and cost $20* for four lessons. Courses for seniors (17 and over) are run on Wednesday evenings when sufficient numbers enquire (usually at least two are required for a course to be run), and cost $60* for six lessons.

All archery equipment is provided, and courses are run by the club's Archery New Zealand Qualified coaches.

Sunday mornings 8.30am - 10.30am (club shoot)
Wednesday evenings 6.30pm -7.30pm (coaching)
Seniors:
Sunday Afternoons 1.00pm - 3.30pm (club shoot)
Monday evenings 7.00pm - 9.00pm winter (club shoot)
or 6.30pm - 8.30pm summer (club shoot)
Wednesday evenings 6.30pm - 7.30pm (coaching)
