Description
The Rembuden Kendo Club originated at the Honbu Dojo of the Rembuden Institute of Martial Arts, in Newtown Wellington, run by Sensei John Jarvis.
After Sensei Jarvis' retirement the club reformed at Victoria University in 1986, and has continuously trained at the University since then.
The club has a wide range of members - students & non students, males & females, experienced and inexperienced - many of whom have trained and competed extensively overseas, including Japan. All share a desire to strive for correctness and continual improvement in their own, and each other's kendo.
TRAINING TIMES
* Tuesday: 8.00pm-9.00pm - Basic Training 1
* Tuesday: 9.00-10.00pm - Senior Training 1
* Thursday: 8.30-9.30pm - Basic Training 2
* Thursday: 9.30-10.00pm - Senior Training 2
* Saturday: 1.00-3.00pm - Senior Training
