When It All Began

All Star Cheerleaders was started by Kimberley Ramsay in 1999. She saw an opportunity at the North Harbour Stadium to provide the Harbour NPC Rugby team with a cheerleading squad. She spoke to the management at Harbour Rugby and sold them on a real American style cheer team that incorporated stunts, pyramids, tumbling, cheers and chants … and All Star Cheerleaders was born!


A Young Girls Dream . . .

However, the dream to have a cheerleading team started many years before that when Kimberley was aged 10. She was given 2 sets of poms by her mother (who had bought them on an overseas trip) and from that day dreamed of becoming a cheerleader with a team of her very own.


Our Very First Junior Team

In 2000 All Star Cheerleaders started its first junior cheerleading team with 11 students at Whenuapai School - that year they performed at their school gala and the Queen St Santa Parade.

All Star Cheerleaders have grown to over 500 Cheerleaders in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch, and include both Jnr and Ser New Zealand Rep teams who annually travel overseas to compete.


Supporting Our National Sports Teams

All Star Cheerleaders can now be seen at all of the NZ Breakers home games!

Our teams have also cheered for: Diamonds Netball, North Harbour NPC Rugby, Harbour Heat Basketball, Fuji Force Netball, Knights Soccer, NZ Kiwi League team, NZ Maoris, Tall Blacks, silver Ferns and many other sporting teams.

We have also had the great opportunity to performs for a wide variety of events including: Coca-cola Christmas in the Park, Farmers Santa parade, MC Saatchi, Vodafone, Lions vs. AB's Tests, Jump Rope for heart, ASB Beach Volleyball and much much more!
