Mainland Football is one of 7 NZ Federations established by NZ Soccer in 2000.
The formal entity is referred to as No 6 District Federation of NZ Soccer (Incorporated Society) but is branded as Mainland Football.
Mainland Football is a not for profit organisation.
Districts include Canterbury, Nelson Bays, Marlborough, Mid Canterbury and West Coast.
Over 15,500 players (1100 teams) are registered across the Federation with Canterbury having the largest junior playing numbers of any sport.
Mainland Football’s Head Office is based at English Park, Christchurch.
English Park is the premier football ground in Canterbury being used for NZFC games.
Mainland Football has an eight (8) member governing Board and a President responsible for the overall growth and development of football across the Federation.
Mainland Football employs staff including a CEO who works closely with the Board to ensure effective deliver of Mainland Football Strategic Plan.
