Description

The University of Auckland Snowsports Club, formerly known as the Ski Club, was founded in 1966 and is one of the oldest, largest and most active clubs on campus.

Who are we? UASC stands for the University of Auckland Snowsports Club, one of many sports Clubs at the University of Auckland. Our legal name is in fact the University of Auckland Ski Club but we un-officially changed it a few years back so that our club snowboarders wouldn't think they were inferior...... hmmm.

UASC was incorporated officially back in 1966, but the club was in fact alive and well when some of our current life members joined in 1950!! Today, we are one of the largest, most active groups on campus.

We are a non profit student organisation which exists to bring skiing and snowboarding to the students of the University of Auckland and other universities.

The Club owns and runs its very own ski-in ski-out Lodge on the slopes of Mt Ruapehu, so we can provide students (and the odd non-student, depending on how much they can drink!!), the cheapest, greatest place to stay on the mountain.
